KV8 Casino – What is Casino hold’em?

Casino Hold’em is a popular variation of the traditional Texas Hold’em poker game. It is played against the house rather than against other players. The objective is to have a better hand than the dealer to win.

Here are the basic rules and types of betting in Casino Hold’em:

  • Ante Bet: The game begins with each player placing an Ante bet, which is the initial wager.
  • Optional AA Side Bet: Players may have the option to place an additional side bet called the AA (Aces or Better) bet. This bet is based on the player’s and dealer’s best five-card hand using their own two cards and the first three community cards (the flop).
  • Deal: Each player, as well as the dealer, receives two private cards (hole cards). Three community cards (the flop) are also dealt face-up on the table.
  • Call Bet: After reviewing their cards and the flop, players decide whether to make a Call bet, which is double the Ante bet. Alternatively, they can choose to fold and forfeit the Ante bet.
  • Turn and River: Two additional community cards are dealt (the turn and the river).
  • Dealer’s Hand: The dealer reveals their two hole cards, and the best five-card hand is formed using the community cards and the dealer’s hole cards.
  • Comparison: The player’s and dealer’s hands are compared. The winner is determined based on traditional poker hand rankings.
  • Payouts: If the dealer qualifies (has a pair of 4s or better), the player’s Ante bet pays even money, and the Call bet pays according to a specific payout table. If the dealer doesn’t qualify, the Ante bet pushes (is returned to the player), and the Call bet is paid even money.
  • AA Side Bet Payouts: The optional AA side bet pays out based on the player’s and dealer’s best five-card hand using the first five cards (hole cards and flop).
